The Beginning
It was 2018. We were looking for a simple thing — a good, affordable, pure veg place where family could sit together, eat well, and not feel rushed. Kondhwa didn't have one.
The sandwich we ordered that evening was overpriced, tasteless, and frankly — an insult to good food. That was the moment. The kind of moment Bollywood calls the interval scene — where everything changes.
Coming from a Jain background, pure vegetarian food has never been just a preference for us — it's a belief. A way of life. And we couldn't understand why Kondhwa didn't have a place that truly celebrated it.
So we built one.
Vintage Cafe opened in April 2018 with 30 menu items, a pool table, and a dream bigger than our kitchen. The belief was simple — pure veg food should be delicious, affordable, and served with love. No compromise. No shortcuts. Just real food made with real care.
And it truly is a family affair. Our boys — Mayank and Samyak — grew up watching this cafe come to life. Whenever they're around, Mayank brings his warmth to customer relations while Samyak takes charge of the POS. Some families watch TV together. We run a cafe.
Founded in April. Started with 30 menu items, a pool table, and a dream bigger than our kitchen.
Expanded seating. Added outdoor section. Regulars took it personally. Then adapted.
Corona hit. Lockdown closed the doors. Two years of hard-built customers — gone overnight. We faced it all — uncertainty, loss, fear. But we never let go of the dream.
Launched party bookings and events. Kitty parties, birthdays, get-togethers — we've hosted them all.
Added special Dosa items made on live coal — a total game changer.
200+ items. 4.1★ on Google. Still serving the best Dosas, Sandwiches, Pizzas, Burgers, and Chinese in Kondhwa — and still refusing to settle for a boring vibe.
What We Stand For
No compromise, no exceptions. Every single item on our menu is 100% vegetarian. That's not a restriction — that's who we are.
No frozen patties, no packet sauces. Everything is made fresh. If it's not good enough for us, it's not going on your table.
Students, families, office-goers, couples, solo visitors. This place is for everyone. We just make the food.
We take food seriously. We take ourselves less so. Life is better with a little Bollywood energy and a cold coffee.
